Travel by air

There are two airports serving Lund. Most international flights land at Copenhagen Kastrup (CPH) in Denmark.

From CPH take a train from the airport to Lund via Malmo Central. (Do not get off at the first stop Malmo Syd.) Trains run every 20 minutes from the station beneath the airport. Buy a ticket at the office straight ahead when you come out of international baggage claims. The trip takes about an hour and you can pay in US Dollars or Euro. Not all the trains continue beyond Malmo Central to Lund, and you might have to change trains: either to the back half of the train that will separate and continue, or to a commuter train in the adjoining station. Your ticket is valid on either train.

Only flights from Stockholm land at Malmö Sturup (MMX). Check with Airport Information if there is no bus waiting when you arrive.

Be careful if you take a taxi – fares are not regulated, and this is one of the few areas where people can be cheated. Agree on a price first, at most 400 SEK from Sturup.

There are international trains to Copenhagen and Malmo. You might need a separate ticket to continue from Copenhagen or Malmo Central to Lund. Note that the national and local commuter trains have separate stations at Malmo Central.
